Vortex Generator
Dry powder disperser

The generation device employs a vortex shaker dispersion system with an adjustable power vibrator, and compressed air supply with filtration. The Vortex shaker is composed of two parts: 1. A removable, lower compartment that contains the powder suspension. 2. An upper conical section.

Air enters the top while aerosol exits the side. The compressed air supply is directed into a vertical tube that extends into the lower section. This specialized configuration ensures the suspended particles are re-entrained because of the induced air turbulence and the subsequent vortex with vertical elutriation.

  • Extreme stability and reproducibility of concentration over several hours due to the presence of two aerodynamic zones in the same system.
  • Aerosol size selection possible by airflow adjustment
  • Injection of clean air directly into the powder reservoir
  • Removal of excessively large particles via vertical elutriation
  • Ability to use very low air flows (less than 1 l/min) allowing for specialized applications where minimal air/gas flow is critical.
  • Control of the aerosol concentration output, independent of the air flow injected into the system
