CH Technologies (USA) is pleased to announce the availability of the Palas® PMFT 1000 and PMFT 1000 M, complete testing platforms for researching the performance of facemasks in terms of their particle capture efficiency and breath resistance. Utilizing the patented T-Aperture Technology, the PMFT allows for testing the capture efficiency of half-mask respirators in a particle size range all the way down to 100nm!

Along with running test procedures outlined in 42CFR84, EN 143, EN 13274-7, ASTM 2299 (and others), it offers 8 channels of size resolution in the range of 100-180nm providing an in-depth look at how effectively the mask removes viral particles suspended in the air.

The PMFT is the perfect tool for not only developing and refining facemask design but also as a QA measure for ensuring the production of a high-quality facemasks and respirators (N95). You can even use it to qualify filter media being procured from outside sources!

The system includes individual face mask adapters, accommodating a wide range of designs. The face velocity is adjustable from 1.5 to 50 cm/s and measurement of breath resistance, at this range of face velocities can be performed as well.
